Access for All (AFA)

To increase campus awareness of disabilities and work to dispel the misconceptions associated with disability. To build a strong network for students with or without disabilities.

• Sponsors/organize disabiltiy crash course which lets UMD students and faculty see some of the technology available for people with disabilities and participate in simulations
• Social Activities: movie nights - watching movies about disability or involve disability
• Hosting a public forum to keep American Sign Language classes at UMD
• Promotes disability rights
• Works to improve transportation for people with disabilities
• Educating people about sexuality and disabilities

• Gain leadership experience by participating on leadership team
• Meet students who have unique stories and perspectives on life
• Meet and work with disability services and resource staff
• Become involved wtih UMD's multicultural student union
